Sports Day 2014
The rain held off (just about!) and we had great fun!
We kicked off Seachtain na Gaeilge with a ceolchoirm and a ceili in the hall. We had so much fun we carried on dancing out into the sunshine afterwards!
We went on a Bear Hunt!
To celebrate World Book Day we went on a bear hunt of our own. Through rivers, squelchy mud and forests we went until we discovered a bear in the narrow, gloomy....tent! (No children were harmed in the process.)
Afterwards we carried on searching for bears in the grass and had to count how many our team retrieved.
Happy World Book Day everyone!

Fire! Fire! Our trip to the Fire Station.
Wow! What a wonderful day. Jack's dad John invited us to the from the hoses- at each other! Fire Station where he works. The sun was shining as we took off on our lovely, grey bus. It didn't take long to get there, which was good because we were so excited! John and the other firemen showed us the fire engines, inside and out! We even got to go for a ride in one with the sirens blaring! Then we had a go spraying water with the hoses- some of us got a bit wet! After that we were given a tour of the station. The firemen have a big t.v. and a snooker table for when they are relaxing. There is a big kitchen where they all take turns cooking meals for each other. And of course, there's a fireman's pole! We had such fun.
Thank you John for inviting us, and all the other firemen for being so friendly. Now, who wants to be a fireman when they grow up??!!

We went on a maths trail around the school to find shapes, numbers and much more! When we came back to class we drew a map of our journey. It was a lot of fun!
